You persevered and prevailed. Active treatments are behind you. You have more time and energy to get back to the life you’ve been envisioning. So why are thoughts of recurrence and concerns of future test results creeping in?
Survivorship is a period of paradox. There is gratitude and relief. As well as confusion and concern. Of all anxieties, the fear of recurrence for cancer survivors is the greatest. You are not alone, and you can learn to make peace with the thoughts that have your best interest at heart.
We’ll discuss the benefits and detriments of fear, and explore the factors that trigger our anxiety. We’ll practice feeling the autonomic nervous system’s response in the body, and learn to calm the storm when it arises.
This workshop is for those in full or partial remission, whose cancer is controlled (chronic or intermittent). Attend with loved ones online, from the comfort of home, to learn how mindfulness tools can empower you when life feels beyond your control.
